Results from last weekend’s JNQ races in Steamboat can be found at the links below. The links are functional despite the strikethrough on the text. That is a mysterious glitch.
Waxing Protocol for the RMN JNQ races in Steamboat Springs, Saturday and Sunday January 23 & 24, 2016 are as follows:
- Saturday’s races: U16 and older female and U18 and older male junior skiers will be seeded and race with college skiers and there is not a ban on any waxes. U16 males will follow the RMN Waxing Protocol.
- Sunday’s races: All juniors skiers will follow the RMN Waxing Protocol because they are racing different distances than the college skiers.
Based on the weather forecast, the RMN glide wax selection for both days is Holmenkol Race Mid (red -4 to-10c). Please see the conditions above to see when this applies. U14 and younger age groups are encouraged to use LF glide waxes.
The second JNQ weekend of the 2015/2016 season is fast approaching, and teams from all over Colorado are gearing up for the races in Steamboat. The weekend will feature two distance races, one classic and one skate, and U18/U20 skiers will be combined with college racers on Saturday. It promises to be a great weekend of racing.
